How to Develop Our Children to Become a Book Lover

Children of today compared to the past years that most of our children are not inclined to book reading. They prefer to play computer games, watching their favorite cartoon movies and want to play their different toys that are bought buy their parents that easily attracts to our child attention.

Although access to books is now available on internet, the beauty and magic of actual book reading is incomparable. The joy of turning the pages of the books, the smell that it evokes and the heart pounding or mind boggling effect that only be experienced through reading of books.

We the parents must have time to our children to have a story telling on what we read on the books so that our children will attract also to read in their own. As early as possible our children must be exposed in reading books, since they are full of curiosity, exploration and to discover a lot of things when they read books just in 30 minutes everyday. We the parents must posses a good reading habit to our children because it is one way also of improving their better talking ability in the near future. I do believe that a wide reader person knows a lot of things because we can discover many things on books that our parents and teachers don’t know. So, I highly recommend parents to teach their children have a reading habit even a few minutes everyday, because it is not for our own good it is for the better future of our children.

It is said that household that have a lot of books and reading materials is always a good environment and a good way to achieve this is to set up a home library and stock it with excellent reading materials. It is also one way of making our children a book lover’s id for parents to show love of reading by example.

What will our children get from reading books? A whole world of stimulation and sensation opens up for our children who have developed interest for reading. A totally absorbing read transports kids to fascinating dimension where the element of surprise and suspension of disbelief enrich their total imagination and creativity, So for us teachers and parents as well, let us all make the youngsters be a book lover in tier own benefit and for their future success.
